Carlito made an appearance on Fastlane during a tag team match between LWO and The Hurt Business. Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar represented LWO while Bobby Lashley teamed up with The Street Profits. LWO started with two participants before their surprise call-up of their final team mate who changed the complexion of the match.

However, not everyone is happy with Carlito’s return, who looked in great shape. A 33-year-old superstar took a dig through social media on Carlito by drawing a comparison of the talk show Carlito’s Cabana.

Grayson Waller takes a dig at Carlito through X

WWE superstar Grayson Waller is making a name among WWE fans through his Talk Show segment The Grayson Waller Effect. After having multiple WWE Legends like Edge, John Cena, and AJ Styles, his segment has become one of the talking points of the SmackDown show.

WWE Superstar Grayson Waller tweeted on X on October 7th, “Welcome to Smackdown @Litocolon279! Just remember Carlito’s Cabana is just a poor man’s Grayson Waller Effect 🌴”. Grayson’s Waller tweet was a sly dig at the talk show Carlito had during his active run in the Ruthless Aggression Era.

There are a lot of similarities between Carlito’s Cabana and The Grayson Waller Effect. Both talk shows had set-ups that would set them apart from other segments. Carlito would have a coconut tree with a hammock behind the ring, a typical Caribbean-themed set-up.

However, Grayson Waller called it a poor man’s talk show to mock Carlito’s return. His tweet also revealed that Carlito would join SmackDown in the main roster, along with his LWO teammates Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio.

In the previous week’s episode of SmackDown, Rey Mysterio declared that he would call upon an old friend for some help. At Fastlane, Mysterio enlisted Carlito for help and made good on his promise.

Carlito makes a decisive return at Fastlane to save LWO

Mid-way through the match, Montez Ford used his heel shenanigans to throw Santos Escobar off the turnbuckle while they left Mysterio stranded in the ring. Just when things looked out of sorts for LWO, Carlito’s music hit. He came in mid-way through the match as fans were treated to a delightful surprise kept in check by WWE and Rey Mysterio.

Mysterio tagged Carlito, and he made an impact in the match by taking out Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. In the end, he delivered a backstabber to Montez Ford to win the match with a pinfall. However, with Waller’s tweet, it seems that WWE is setting up something between Grayson Waller and Carlito now.
