After a year, one of the biggest pop sensations, Cardi B, dropped her first single, ‘Hot S**t’, featuring Kanye West and Lil Durk. As soon as she released her song, in the blink of an eye song caught the attention of WWE fans. In case you haven’t heard the song, Bacardi, in her flex rap, made a reference to the late, iconic wrestler Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, who was also the uncle of Dwayne Johnson.

In the realm of pro wrestling, many significant wrestlers came from the Anoa’i family. Dwayne Johnson, Roman Reigns, The Usos, Rocky Johnson, Jimmy ‘Superfly’ Snuka, and many others come from the same. Meanwhile, the fourth-generation wrestler Simone Johnson, aka Ava Raine, was thrilled when Cardi B made a reference.

One Twitter user claims that Cardi B loves wrestling, which is evident from the many references to the sport. Bacardi acknowledges her love for wrestling. She also hopes that the younger generation understands the reference that she made to the famous Jimmy Snuka and what she was referring to. She sings the line, “Jimmy Snuka off the top rope, Superfly s**t (Fly),” referring to his iconic move.

In response to B’s tweet, Raine used an emoji to express her feelings of happiness and delight. Additionally, the late WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Snuka’s daughter Tamina Snuka responded to the same tweet, saying, “I know who you talking about”.

Dwayne Johnson is very close to Jimmy Snuka’s family

The passing of Jimmy Snuka in 2017 left Samoans in great sadness. Johnson, posting a photo of Snuka, stated that he respects his and values everything that he has done to promote the industry.

His families had shared homes in both North Carolina and Hawaii, and he had grown up with Jimmy Snuka. Jimmy Jr., Liana, Sarona, and Ata looked up to him and he did the same.

Notably, The Rock recently gifted a brand-new, luxurious home and car to Tamina Snuka as a surprise. It reveals that despite his success today, he still has a strong connection to his Samoan and Snuka ancestors and that he is still close to his roots.
