Cody Rhodes is gearing up for the biggest match of his career at WrestleMania 39. In the lead-up to the big event, he has been doing a lot interviews and podcasts to hype up his match against Roman Reigns. Cody Rhodes can’t stand top WWE star

Not a lot of people know that Rhodes respects his long-time rival a lot. However, their dynamic makes things even more interesting. Seth Rollins and The American Nightmare have had a long-running rivalry in the game. Due to this, both of them had a close call. “I think Seth Rollins is the closest I’ve ever had to a backstage that turning into a fistfight,” said Rhodes regarding his rival.

He even mentioned how either of them “absolutely can’t stand one other.” The reason that Rhodes gives for this starts making sense. Apparently, the competitiveness that fans can see in the ring, isn’t even half of what happens backstage. The environment is so intense that it is inevitable there will be confrontations. Rhodes explains, “it doesn’t garner you a lot of friends.” Rhodes was also wary of the AEW’s infamous brawl out that rocked the company.

As Rhodes recalls, during his early days as a wrestler, he used to wear a vest for his entry. As he continues, it becomes pretty evident that he was a bit too touchy about his character. So, when a fellow wrestler wore his vest and was mocking him, Rhodes lost his temper. In a blink, everybody saw Rhodes taking down a colleague for making fun of him.

Although, later on, he realized that he came out to be a “jerk” to everybody. This is specifically because the fellow wrestler was enjoying his time and made everybody laugh.
