For WWE veterans like Ric Flair, who had a wrestling career spanning over 50 years, life after retirement must have been difficult. When one lived most of his life in the squared circle, wouldn’t it be strange for him to not wrestle and be a part of the action? It definitely would be. The legend recently opened up about his anxious days while talking about another Hall of Legend to have mastered being at peace.

Although Flair isn’t actively wrestling anymore, the itch to get back into the ring has always been there for him. He retired from his last active role while in TNA in 2011. His passion for wrestling didn’t let him feel at ease after his retirement and since then he has wrestled on occasions and had his retirement match in July 2022. However, that wasn’t the case with the 14-time world champion, Sting. He found the mantra to be calm, without doing what he did for almost five decades. And that’s what Flair appreciated about him while confessing to his troubled life after retirement.

Speaking on the To Be The Man podcast, Flair highlighted one characteristic of The Icon that he felt is quite different from the rest. It wasn’t anything else but the ease with which he lead his life after retirement. However, while underlining that, Flair ended up describing his not-so-peaceful life after retirement.

He said, “The minute, I retired, I was lost the next day to this date Stephen and I’m with Wendy, she’ll tell you I get up and drive my car 100 miles in the morning and drink two cups of coffee before I go to the gym just because I’m not used to it.

This sneak peek into Flair’s daily life clearly states how much he misses his time, performing in the squared circle. He was a wrestler who didn’t even let his massive surgery come in between his love for wrestling. Then 70-year-old Flair underwent surgery in May 2019 costing him around $1.8 million, but he didn’t stop and wrestled till aged 73. The Hall of Fame legend is still struggling to align his day-to-day life after retirement.

I mean, I still can’t get it out of my blood. I’m not used to this laying around. I can’t watch TV. I mean unless it’s LeBron James and or football,” Ric Flair added.

This is definitely one troubling confession that Flair made through his podcast. It must not be easy for the legend. However, he also mentioned LeBron James to be his savior on these emotionally strenuous days.
