“Can’t Even Go to Grocery Store”: MLW Champion Reveals His Honest Feelings on Brock Lesnar Comparisons

Brock Lesnar is arguably the biggest thing that wrestling has right now. Every appearance that the Beast Incarnate makes is worth watching. It is because of him that people are inclined to tune into Monday Night Raw regularly nowadays. But then, one would think that being called Lesnar randomly by people in public places would be a pleasant feeling, right? Well, for this guy, at one point it bothered him a lot.

For Brock, right now, the only thing worth focusing on is giving a nice beatdown to Bobby Lashley. After this Monday Night’s gruesome confrontation with the All-Mighty, The Beast should take some notes from the World Champion who is mistaken for the Beast. His record for 2022 has been phenomenal, to say the least, and not to mention that he is the World Champion there as well.

World Champion talks about comparisons to Brock Lesnar

Recently, while talking on the Wrassingh Show, MLW Champion Alexander Hammerstone opened up about people comparing him to Brock Lesnar. He said, “It used to really bother me because it felt like no matter what I did, I was just doing one comparison to get stuck in the next one. That being said, I’ve never been compared to Crash Holly or somebody like that. I’ve always been compared to a top guy, a mega superstar. Those are some comparisons to be proud of.”

“Maybe it’s just the man-bun. But these days, I can’t even go to the grocery store without someone telling me I look like Brock Lesnar. It makes me chuckle. If I’m able to, not only bring that look to the ring, but illicit some of those same emotions and that same presence, those are some good guys to be compared to. At this point, I’ll take it as a compliment, ” he added.

If Hammerstone can bring the same energy to the ring as Lesnar, he will surely be the best. While he might have conquered everyone in MLW, Triple H will always be looking for new wrestlers to make stars. So, we won’t be surprised to see Hammerstone make the jump to WWE in a few years.
