The Way added more gold to their faction with a monumental win on NXT. The challengers, Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell survived a valiant effort by Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon to steal their titles. The street fight stipulation wasn’t to their advantage, but they persevered and pulled off a giant win.

The champions attempted to intimidate their opponents by cosplaying Freddy and Jason from the 2000s slasher movie. However, Hartwell and LeRae did not back down and took the fight to them. Indi immediately went to get a table while Le Rae pulled out chairs. Ember Moon brought a garbage can, and this plunder brawl was underway.

Shotzi Blackheart showcased her risk-taking ability with a devastating senton to Candice Le Rae through a ladder. Ember Moon followed up with an Alabama Slam on Indi Hartwell through a table for a close nearfall.

Wade Barrett’s coffee mug became an effective weapon for Shotzi, who smashed Indi’s head with it. She then climbed the steel structure in the CWC and hit a massive splash on Indi through the announcer’s table. Meanwhile, inside the ring, Ember Moon and Candice tried to put each other away, but things went awfully wrong for the champions.

Shotzi somehow got back into the ring after the big spot at ringside, but Candice threw her into Ember Moon. Indi Hartwell hit an elbow drop on Moon through a table, leaving Shotzi prone to the Wicked Stepsister on a steel chair. Overall, it was a stunning match with a stunning ending and stunning new champions.

With this loss, it looks like Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon’s NXT run is slowly ending. Their partnership excited fans and they put on splendid matches, but they would be substantial additions to the Monday Night Raw women’s division.

WWE can keep them together and use them as a tag team, but their true potential lies in their singles performances. Moon is a former NXT Women’s Champion who hasn’t reached her true potential on the main roster. Blackheart is a spirited babyface and might just be a female Jeff Hardy, diving off structures and putting her body on the line.

If Triple H keeps them in NXT, both Blackheart and Moon could be cannon fodder for the dominant Raquel Gonzalez. Both superstars can take big bumps and do their job in making Gonzalez look like an absolute beast.
