Many Hollywood celebrities have appeared in some capacity for the WWE, dating back to the first ever WrestleMania pay-per-view. Some have accompanied other wrestlers to the ring, while others have had a proper go inside the squared circle.
One of the biggest Hollywood stars, Brad Pitt, was also once quizzed about wrestling in WWE, and his reply was amusing.
Brad Pitt was blunt on his fighting in WWE
In 2019, Pitt sat down with Cathy Kelley of WWE to talk about his sci-fi movie ‘Ad Astra’. Kelley mentioned that Pitt’s co-star in the movie Liv Tyler has attended WWE events with her kids and asked him whether he will attend a WWE event.

Pitt said, “Sure, tell me what, I’m open for anything. … All right, let’s see what lines up.” Kelley asked him if he will take on the role of a manager or actually get in a ring. To this, Brad Pitt came up with a hilarious response.
Pitt replied that while he is good with attending a WWE event as a spectator, it will be a ‘disaster’ if he considered participating as a performer.
He said, “You’re talking about actually getting in and fighting, really? Hell, no. I’ll be a participant? No, I’ll spectate. Can you imagine? What a disaster. Oh My God.”
Brad Pitt has been part of some of Hollywood’s biggest movies. His roles in ‘Fight Club’, ‘Inglourious Basterds’ and ‘Money Ball’ are forever etched in the memories of fans. He also won an Oscar for the best supporting actor for his role in ‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood’.
Celebrities who wrestled in WWE
While Pitt may have been reluctant to get inside a WWE ring to wrestle, many celebrities have tried their luck with varying success. Mr. T famously teamed up with Hulk Hogan to take on Roddy Piper and Paul Orndoff in the main event of WrestleMania I. Since then, celebrity appearances in WWE have become a staple.
Mickey Rourke, who starred in the 2008 movie ‘The Wrestler’ appeared and WrestleMania 25 and knocked out Chris Jericho. Fans also saw Stephen Amell team up with former WWE star Neville to defeat Stardust (Cody Rhodes) and Wade Barrett at SummerSlam in 2015.
