The day Vince McMahon took a look at Brock Lesnar, he knew WWE was going to mint money. They started referring to him as ‘The Next Big Thing’ in WWE and his stock rose up real quickly upon his debut. However, that wasn’t the case when he was in OVW, as WWE was hesitant to call him up to the main roster.

The Beast Incarnate’s former onscreen advocate, Paul Heyman recently talked about Lesnar giving an ultimatum to WWE. He disclosed the entire incident that occurred prior to his debut.

Paul Heyman shares story of how Brock Lesnar almost left WWE prior to his debut

Recently, The Wise Man appeared on Tetragrammaton with Rick Rubin podcast. Paul Heyman not talking about Brock Lesnar in his interviews is not possible. However, he recalled a detail of The Conqueror’s ultimatum to WWE back when he was in WWE’s developmental territory.

The Bloodline’s Special Counsel said, “Brock is an artist. Those are the reports coming out of Louisville and he’s not gonna called up to the main roster and I couldn’t understand what the delay was. I had seen him a couple of times as they had toured in Minneapolis…. Why we are not going this, my god? He is 24 years old, 23 at the time.”

Lesnar’s former Advocate added, “So they bring him up to the TV starting from the dark matches because he had enough and he left Louisville and went back to Minnesota. He said, ‘Whenever you’re ready for me, call me. There is nothing more for me to learn in Louisville. I’m ready to go. If you don’t wanna use me, my contract’s gonna run up and I’m gonna find something else to do with my life.”

As per Heyman’s words on the podcast, we can assume Lesnar believed in himself and his ability. The Beast Incarnate debuted in 2002 and quickly became a major star of the WWE roster. Since then for over 20 years he has made a huge name in WWE, NJPW, and even UFC. Moreover, The 57-year-old also shared what made Lesnar different from other stars.

Heyman reveals Brock Lesnar’s X factor

After Lesnar gave an ultimatum to WWE, Vince McMahon brought him to TV shows in dark matches. The 10-time world champion impressed everyone in two dark matches. Furthermore, Heyman shared how Lesnar’s abilities made him stand out from the rest.

The former ECW CEO said nobody in WWE at the time had “the explosiveness of Brock Lesnar, the speed of Brock Lesnar, the agility of Brock Lesnar, (and) the mobility of Brock Lesnar”

Lesnar has surely impressed a lot of people in the world of MMA and pro wrestling. Currently, he is feuding with Cody Rhodes and will conclude their feud by engaging in a third match at Money in the Bank or SummerSlam.
