At Survivor Series WarGames 2023, the WWE Universe witnessed an unexpected return: CM Punk‘s return to the WWE. This comeback came after his dismissal by Tony Khan, president of AEW, because of a physical altercation with Jack Perry in the halls of Wembley during the All-In PPV. Punk’s return to WWE programming has not only allowed him to be a major face of programming in a short time, but he also emerged as one of the highest names in terms of merchandising sales. However, Punk has not competed in the ring since January of this year due to a triceps injury sustained at the Royal Rumble. But it isn’t just the ring that Punk was missing from, as he has also been inactive on Twitter since 2022. But is he actually away from the social media app?
Well, not according to a recent picture that shows Punk using a burner account.

CM Punk can be called the embodiment of Deadpool’s title, ‘The Merc with a Mouth.” So when you imagine such a superstar not being active on Twitter since June 2022, it seems rather odd. Especially when Punk is equally active on Instagram. However, according to a recent picture revealed by @FadeAwayMedia, Punk is still active on X. But this time, he is using a burner account.

For the unaware, a burner account is a secondary account used under some other name to remain anonymous. So the Chicago-based star may use the said account to remain anonymous while still being up to date with all that’s being said by his fans and colleagues in the WWE. Especially by the Scottish Warrior, Drew McIntyre. At least, that’s what the fans believe, as they stormed the comment section to share their theories behind the account.
Fans explore the reality behind the secondary account
As soon as the pictures came online, fans began speculating as to why the WWE superstar was using a burner account. Many believed that CM Punk might turn out to be one troll running a hate campaign against the Scottish Warrior, something that might also come up as a future storyline.
I think he got it just to look at Drew’s tweets 😭😭😭

However, according to some fans, the former AEW star is using it to keep an eye on his former promotion. Using his primary account for doing the same may prove troublesome. So the WWE superstar decided to use a burner account to go undercover. Maybe he even trolls them as well.

While a few fans believed that all this news about a burner account was just a hoax. As it is possible that CM Punk is just using his actual account and is simply avoiding any interaction from the original one. Playing possum to the max.
