Tony Khan appears to be on the verge of losing another wrestler from his active roster. This time around, the blame can’t be put on the President of AEW because the decision has reportedly come from the superstar himself. The talent in question is none other than Bryan Danielson.
Danielson’s contract with WWE had expired in May 2021 and he ended up signing with Tony Khan four months later. However, now this journey is also seemingly coming to an end. There is also a possibility that we may see him return to the Stamford-based company again.

The wrestling talent has been in the industry for more than two decades. He has entertained fans in different promotions but now may be the time that he hangs up his boots. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported, “Bryan Danielson is believed to be leaving on October 12 in Tacoma although his 3-year AEW contract expires before that show.”
As Danielson had already confirmed, his contract expires before the show in Washington. However, fans may get to see him wrestle for the last time as a full-time wrestler in AEW. While he is rumored to be retiring from the sport because of the promise he made to his daughter, we may see him return for smaller gigs.
WWE is known to sign some part-time wrestlers on its roster. Since Danielson has promised and confirmed that he will no longer be a full-time wrestler, we may either see him retire completely or show up for a smaller, more infrequent appearance. This has led to fans speculating about his WWE return that will be seen after more than three years.
When Danielson leaves the promotion, we may see another member of his family joining AEW to compensate for the loss.
Bryan Danielson’s in-law wished to join AEW
The reports state that the 42-year-old might stay until WrestleDream in Tacoma this year. However, when he leaves, Khan will leave an integral talent from his roster. This may result in Nikki Bella signing with him instead. After Mercedes Mone made her debut in AEW in March this year, Bella felt motivated to return to the squared circle as well.

In her own podcast, the former Diva talked about how she has been wanting to sign with Tony Khan ever since Sasha Banks debuted in the promotion. It has been long since we saw Bella perform in the ring. So, after Bryan Danielson is gone, his sister-in-law may take up his place on the roster.
Do you think we’ll see him return to WWE as a part-timer? Or is Danielson’s wrestling career coming to an end in 2024?
