Did CM Punk go too far with those belt whips on Drew McIntyre, or is it just part of the game?

CM Punk is the last man to be dejected by anything ever. He has that innate spirit to dodge every setback. When the Second City Saint received a tremendous blow at SummerSlam weekend in Cleveland, it might have looked like the end of the road. However, the following week, Punk made it clear that he takes pride in himself for being able to perform at the PLE coming straight from an injury hiatus earlier than the stipulated time. He also indicated that his heat with the Scotsman has not been settled yet. Tonight on Raw, the former AEW star lived up to his bluster, leaving the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion bruised on his back.

Drew Mclntyre showed off his wounds after Raw

McIntyre came out in the ring complaining about how he has been stripped of chances over and over. Shortly after the rant, he ripped his shirt off to get ready for a fight with Punk who delivered a sneak attack. The two men again engaged in a highly physical affair. It eventually resulted in Punk whipping the Scotsman badly with his belt and reclaiming his bracelet. Mclntyre showed off the nasty aftermath of the attack in a grueling tweet.

Is more CM Punk-Drew Mclntyre drama loading heading toward the Bash in Berlin? Well, the answer is a yes, probably.

Will CM Punk and Drew McIntyre face off against each other at Bash in Berlin?

What’s your perspective on:

Did CM Punk go too far with those belt whips on Drew McIntyre, or is it just part of the game?

Have an interesting take?

McIntyre and Punk had a lot of bad blood flowing between them. So the saga is still not over. Despite Mclntyre having a temporary upper hand over the Seventh City Punk, the latter is gearing up for a fiery comeback. Tonight’s belt whips were just a glimpse of that. The rematch is inevitable.

A Hell in a Cell match looked feasible as the plan for WWE Bad Blood in October, however, the way the rivalry between them received the limelight, it is highly likely for the Stamford-based company to let them clear it out once again at Bash in Berlin. Right after Rollins’s intervention in the heated drama, it seemed WWE might go for a triple threat, as Rollins had unfinished business with both the stars. However, given his deteriorated injury status, the Visionary might be off during the PLE, but Punk and McIntyre will possibly be there as the replacement.

It will be interesting to see how things move forward once Rollins heals up and seeks an act of revenge.
