Over the years in WWE, we have seen memorable matches which went down in history. Such was the impact of those historic nights that people still talk about them. But one match which will top this list has to be The Rock’s fight against Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania X8.
While The Rock was trying to put forward his dominance, Hollywood Hogan would return to WWE after nine long years. What followed next was just magical. The Rock and Hulk Hogan faced off in Toronto (March 17, 2002). The match was not an ordinary one as the promoters announced it as Icon vs Icon. It was a fight to decide who was the greatest wrestler in the history of WWE.
Recently appearing on WWE Network show Ruthless Aggression, Hulk Hogan recalled how Vince McMahon pitched him the idea to face The Rock at WrestleMania X8. Hulk Hogan expressed, “Vince asked me if I would wrestle The Rock at WrestleMania X8, and I had watched how The Rock had climbed the ladder. It really had this business down to an art form.”
