WWE has depended on its fans to make the product better and for making moments like returns and title changes memorable.
This unspoken truth has come to light amid the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic has forced WWE to run its shows with no audience.
This made the product bland and less engaging. WWE however, still did WrestleMania 36, which had some memorable moments. One such moment was Drew McIntyre pinning Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship.

The moment had grandiosity and emotion but it just did not give the same impact which a crowd brings. This was proof that WWE should hold back on big moments until the crowds are back.
But Vince McMahon doesn’t care about that logic because it has been reported that WWE will have Brock Lesnar make his return to the company at SummerSlam.
This is a big moment and deserves a crowd, but WWE doesn’t care because they consider SummerSlam to be one of their top pay-per-views.
They have to make the show memorable, but having Brock back just doesn’t seem right. He took a loss the last time he was in the company, which made him look weak.
WWE’s intent here could be to make him look good and dominant so he can put over a new babyface whenever that may be. This is a good strategy, but having him in front of an empty crowd will not benefit anyone.
WWE plans for Brock Lesnar
WWE can take different directions with Brock Lesnar. Lesnar has enjoyed a semi free-agent status in the company and hasn’t pledged any brand loyalty. He can go to SmackDown, Raw, or even NXT if he wants to.

However, it is more than likely that Brock would be appearing for a Raw storyline. He could either fight Drew McIntyre again or he may get the dream match against Bobby Lashley.
The Lesnar-Bobby Lashley has been teased since 2018 and it is a known fact that Bobby was promised a match with the Beast during the contract negotiations.
Vince is a man of honor and this might be him fulfilling the obligation because there are no viable story options for a Brock Lesnar feud.

SummerSlam will take place after a couple of months and WWE can either use that PPV to let Brock start a new feud or for him to fight Lashley in a match which could be deemed an instant classic.
