2022 started off dramatically for Brock Lesnar after he faced a totally different challenge on WWE Day 1 PPV. However, this challenge is nothing compared to the toll his body took back in 2009 when he was diagnosed with diverticulitis.

Following his victory at the WWE Day 1 PPV, the Beast Incarnate had met the NHL legend, Paul Bissonnette.

During a recent episode of Spittin’ Chiclets Podcast, the NHL legend Paul Bissonnette recalled his meeting with Brock Lesnar on that day.

Bissonnette revealed that Brock told him how his life transformed after getting diagnosed with Diverticulitis in 2009.

Bissonnette said, “Great Guy. Very, very interesting and he is still going strong. He talked about that because I was like, ‘how are you not banged up and how are you still wrestling at this age?’”

“He said about 13 years ago, he got this trainer, and he just kind of changed his whole life as far as eating habits and the way he trains. I think he says that he could probably wrestle at a high level for another three, four years,” he added.

However, in a shocking turn of events, Lesnar got added to the WWE Championship match at WWE Day 1 PPV. And Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship on that night.

In an episode of Raw, a Fatal 4-Way Match took place to decide a challenger for the WWE Championship. The winner of that match would challenge Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WWE Royal Rumble 2022.
