If you are new to pro wrestling and think Brock Lesnar’s exploits are limited to the WWE, you’re far away from the truth. In fact, he’s one of the few wrestlers to have multiple successful careers. He had a short but successful run in UFC and a failed attempt in the NFL. But do you know why?

Just after WrestleMania 20 in 2004, The Beast left the WWE for a career in the NFL. He played football during his college years. It takes a man to have a degree of conviction to chuck a settled career for something new and Brock Lesnar had it. However, just before the tryouts, he met with a motorcycle accident.

“Cracks his pelvis, tears his groin, breaks his jaw. They wanna wired his jaw shut, which means he can’t eat, can’t keep the nutrition going, can’t keep the bulk,” Heyman recalled his friend’s plight during a chat with Tetragrammaton with Rick Rubin.

Despite that, Lesnar headed for the tryouts and to people’s surprise did something unbelievable. Heyman said the officials at Minnesota Vikings knew about Lesnar’s condition, which he described as: “…he was f**ked up. He was really f**ked up.” Notwithstanding the physical pain, Brock Lesnar, according to Paul Heyman, ran “the quarter mile and the 100-yard dash in Olympic qualifying time.”

Of course, the Vikings signed Lesnar after the spirited performance. But do you know how much he made from the NFL?

What are Brock Lesnar’s earnings from the NFL?

Before Lesnar broke into the pro-wrestling business with his stint in WWE, he was a renowned name in the NCAA. But it was the Stamford-based company that provided him with a professional contract in the early 2000s. In a career spanning over two decades, Lesnar’s net worth has swelled to $25 million. His NFL earnings, however, are shockingly low.

According to reports by Over The Cap, the 45-year-old former WWE champion has earned nothing from his NFL stint. Well, Lesnar did not play in any of the main games. His appearance for the Vikings was limited to preseason games, and he parted ways just a month after signing with the team.

Currently, he is the highest paid athlete in the WWE, even ahead of Roman Reigns, the company’s top guy. He also earned over $5 million from his UFC fights, including a then record-sum of $2.5 million from his bout with Mark Hunt at UFC 200 in 2016.
