Brock Lesnar may not be the person you would think to talk reflectively about mental health problems. Well, the Beast Incarnation has opened up about his life in WWE, his anxiety issues, and many other things. He also talked about how he came to adapt to his real self from WWE’s version of him, through self-realization.
Speaking to The New York Post, prior to the live match at Madison Square Garden, where he defended the title inside the Elimination Chamber, Lesnar shared the story of his SummerSlam return. After losing the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at an empty WrestleMania 36, he was all ready for peaceful retirement life.
However, Lesnar returned to WWE and revealed the reason behind the same.

He said, “Yes, but this thing has taken a lot of different twists and turns we didn’t discuss, and it’s fun, but I came back because I was asked very nicely, and I was compensated very nicely. I have a passion for it, this storyline for sure,” Lesnar said.
Two weeks ago on the Pat McAfee Show, Lesnar revealed the anxiety issues he had when he was a kid. Especially, while performing before a large crown led him to like solitude and thus developing a reserved character.
“I was a kid who had anxiety issues. I grew up in the ’80s. When we went to school, they didn’t have a definition of whatever, and I didn’t take any pills,” he said.
A Different Version of Brock Lesnar
When Lesnar came back in 2021, he was not the same as the ruthless beast we watched in the past. He was more comfortable with himself in terms of clothes, appearance, and character. The WWE Superstar’s hair was in a braid, and he dressed in casual clothes outside the ring. Surprisingly, he started making jokes and became more friendly to fans.

“This is the real Brock Lesnar, I’m a country hillbilly f–k, and that’s who I am. I grew up the same way,” the conqueror said. He reflected on how he tried to be someone, “who I really never kind of was,” all those times in WWE. Presenting himself with a tint of his real interests definitely seems to make him more comfortable than ever.

Lesnar continued, “I can be a funny f–ker, I can be serious and I can be bipolar and change my persona on a flick of a switch, just ask my kids. I can change on a dime. I can be joking with you and then rip your f–king head off the next second. It’s just the way I am.”

Moreover, Lesnar said that wrestling always took away his anxiety and strain. Also, he said, “As long as I’m looked after and my health is good and I’m enjoying myself, I’d probably continue.” However, Lesnar definitely got many more years at the top and he’s facing Reigns on WrestleMania Winner Take All within a month.
