Today, Brock Lesnar is one of the most successful superstars in WWE. Ever since his WWE debut in 2002, he grabbed the attention of everyone. Soon after, he rose to superstardom. But the road to superstardom wasn’t an easy one for the Beast Incarnate.

Recently appearing on The Pat McAfee Show 2.0, Brock Lesnar talked about his early farm life and his struggles. He revealed he and his family had to work and try to make a living.

Interestingly, Brock could not even watch professional wrestling till he was in college. And the reason behind this is that he did not have a TV. Thus, you can imagine the struggle Lesnar had to go through early in his life.

Lesnar said, “I started wrestling when I was five years old. I grew up in Webster, South Dakota on a dairy farm. And wrestling was just a passion. We didn’t watch TV, didn’t have, it was just we worked and tried to make a living. I did not watch professional wrestling until I got to college.”

Further, the Beast Incarnate revealed he got to see Monday Night Raw and Monday Night Nitro in the dorms.

There is absolutely no doubt that Brock Lesnar had worked hard every single day to have this success. His hard work and passion are the reasons for his successful career.

Brock Lesnar talks about getting calls from WWE

Before Brock Lesnar stepped into the pro wrestling world, he had success in amateur wrestling. He even got a wrestling scholarship at the University of Minnesota.

During the episode on The Pat McAfee Show 2.0, Brock talked about getting phone calls from WWE.

He said, “I got recruited to the University of Minnesota, was there wrestling, and then next thing I know, I’m getting phone calls from the WWE. And it’s like, that might be kind of cool.”

Lesnar signed with WWE in 2000 and was sent to its developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling. But in 2002, Lesnar made his WWE television debut. Soon, he got the nickname ‘The Next Big Thing’ and competed against top WWE stars.
