It all started when Cody headed to Raw after WrestleMania, following a major defeat at the hands of Tribal Chief at WrestleMania. The American Nightmare asked for a rematch. However, he ended up getting a newborn rivalry in the form of Lesnar’s unexpected betrayal.

The latest development of the story saw Cody lose to Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions 2023. But their saga still continues and Rhodes is not done, if anything. Quite naturally, there have been multiple questions all around the corner. Such as why WWE didn’t let Cody shine or why Lesnar even started their rivalry in the first place without any reason. That said, Lesnar turning on Cody was not unplanned at all. It has some shocking reason, at least according to WWE legend The Blue Meanie.

The Blue Meanie comes up with shell shocking theory regarding Cody Rhodes vs Brock Lesnar feud

The Cody vs Brock feud has been going through a lot of dramatic turns since its existence. It even became more violent and intriguing in the process. Despite winning the very first encounter with Brock Lesnar at Backlash earlier this month, Cody didn’t get to celebrate for long. Night of Champions proved to be a big reality checker for him as the Beats Incarnate buried him totally with a Kimura lock to pick up the win.

It might look like Cody gets sidelined in the company, but 50-year-old Meanie believes that the picture is much bigger. It actually benefits Cody. As per Meanie, these defeats prepared Cody for his ultimate aim of standing tall against the Tribal Chief. Also, Lesnar did it purposely to launch his revenge on Roman Reigns. It’s because he himself is unable to face Reigns at this point in his career.

Speaking exclusively to Nick Hausman for Inside The Ropes, the veteran noted, ”But I think this whole Brock thing, Brock and Cody because they never said why Brock just turned on Cody like that. I think, eventually in my mind, and if somebody in creative’s watching, have it come out that Brock did it as tough love because Brock ‘legally’ isn’t allowed to challenge for the title anymore. So what better revenge for Brock on Roman to prepare Cody to beat Roman for the belt?”

However, to be more sure of the surprising theory that just came out, we need to look up to the next move of WWE regarding these two top stars of the roster.

WWE’s next potential plan for Cody Rhodes

Cody has been doing an arm injury angle before his match in Saudi Arabia. WWE is likely to keep his hands in the sling for some more time as he already challenged Lesnar for a third match. Moreover, according to a recent report, the company is advertising him at upcoming house shows. Probably Cody will appear in the main events of the house shows, this week against Finn Balor.

As long as Cody vs Lesnar is concerned, there is still no word about how it proceeds further. Money in The Bank or SummerSlam seems a good option to book them for the third match, nevertheless.

Now, only time will unfold the rest. But if Blue Meanie’s theory comes out true, there are a lot of thrills and shocks coming the way for the Cody vs Brock feud for sure.
