The last appearances by Mickie James and Billie Kay
Mickie James has been a huge part of Women’s Wrestling in WWE. She is a former six time Women’s champion and has been crucial in paving the path for the development of Women’s Wrestling. However, the company used her several times to put over other talent.
The last time the WWE Universe witnessed Mickie James was at the NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver kickoff show. This was quite a while after she had last wrestled inside the ring.
Her appearance as a commentator on NXT pushed the idea that she’ll be making it more of a permanent career at WWE among the fans. However, now that WWE has released her, it’s hard to predict if she will return to the company in any capacity.
Grateful for the memories. Grateful for the locker room. Grateful for the fans. Grateful for these little keys to my golden handcuffs. You can never expected others vision of you to be big as your own dreams. Thank you @VinceMcMahon #AlwaysBlessedAndGrateful

Coming to Billie Kay, it’s a tremendous shock. Fans recently saw her in segments prior to WrestleMania 37 where she was teaming up with Carmella to take part in the Tag Team Turmoil Match.
Not only that, but at WrestleMania 35, Billie Kay had secured the Women’s tag team titles alongside Peyton Royce. Even though The IIconics were split, Kay received much recognition for her skills and gimmick.
