Social media was buzzing after Triple H announced a former WWE Champion would be gracing the stage at Day 1 Edition of WWE RAW. However, fans were not ready for what went down and who came out to the ring. Furthermore, the segment became even more electrifying when Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made his shocking return.
Jinder Mahal returns, followed by Dwayne Johnson
As fans sat patiently in the Pechanga Arena in San Diego for the arrival of a returning WWE Champion. However, all the excitement was crushed when Jindal Mahal made his return. The sold-out arena fell silent as Mahal made his way to the ring. Taking this as an insult, he had a select choice of words for the San Diego crowd.

Taking the mic, Mahal first addressed the silent crowd as if it was a disrespect to him. Continuing the heel that he once was, Mahal effortlessly drew heat from the San Diego crowd. The peak was reached when Mahal generalized the entire US population as being people who didn’t have any respect.

Before he could go on insulting the United States, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson made his return. The roof of the arena blew up as The Brahma Bull made his way to the ring. Fans were shocked to see Johnson back in the WWE since his last appearance in September.

Getting into the ring, Johnson’s first move was recreating his old segments by challenging the spirit of The Iron Sheik. This led to a hilarious segment that mirrored something he had done over a decade ago.
Johnson recreating his greatest hits
One of the greatest promos The Rock ever did was in 1999 on Sunday Night Heat with Billy Gunn. This is what he recreated with Mahal and The Iron Sheik’s spirit. Furthermore, what made this segment even more hilarious was The Rock dropping some of his iconic oneliners from the Attitude Era.

While recreating this promo with Gunn, he spoke to Sheik as he did to God. He even conveyed what Sheik felt about Mahal to him. The entire segment was great fun before Mahal had enough and attacked The Great One. This led to Johnson hitting Mahal with the most electrifying move in pro wrestling, The People’s Elbow.
