2K Games has been in a harmonious fellowship with WWE for over a decade. The first-ever series came into existence back in 2014 and took fans by storm to the point of keeping up with this eight more times.

Now, fans are waiting with bated breath to get a buzz out of the next riveting chapter in the series as reports suggested an official title release for the WWE 2K24 around the time of the Royal Rumble. With this, it seems WWE moved one step closer to picking their female cover face of the animated game.

Ever since the video game’s logo was released, WWE and 2K have gone quite a long in their tension-building game regarding the revelation of the potential cover star. After seemingly tipping Rhea Ripley and The Undertaker to that highly sought-after spot, they shifted their focus on WrestleMania 35 main eventer Becky Lynch.

The latest Ig post of the company features a cool photograph of Lynch eating popcorn with the caption reading, ”1.22.24 #WWE2K24.”

However, it seems a more breathtaking surprise knocking at our doors as we are nearing the official release date of WWE 2K24.

Will The Undertaker show up to grace the upcoming installment of WWE’s animated show?

With each passing day, 2K is going far to heighten the air of excitement. Thanks to their wise, strategic move to include the former world champion’s potential appearance in the rumors mill to send fans into a frenzy. On January 22nd, WWE Games’ official Twitter account asked fans to buckle up by releasing a graphic alongside a potential release date. However, the real X factor of that announcement was the one that carries the age-old Undertaker sentiment.

The tease includes a photo of a casket, which has Undertaker tagged in the picture. It implies either the casket match is another stipulation or the Showcase mode makes fighters revisit the legendary career of The Phenom.

Moving to The Deadman’s in-ring appearance, we haven’t seen him on WWE programming since October last year. However, we might get WWE Hall of Famer back in his boots as early as next month during the Elimination Chamber.

But it will ice on the cake if we get a piece of the legend through WWE’s animated frame as well.

What’s your take on 2K dropping another tease regarding the cover star of the WWE2K24? Let us know in the comments.
