Multiple sources said the former WWE Universal Champion was taking a break from wrestling. However, just days before Wyatt’s release, rumors came in thick and fast, suggesting that “The Fiend” will make his return to WWE.

However, Wyatt was released by WWE in a spectacular turn of events. The wrestling world dove deep into the reason for his release, which also paved the way for many false reports.

Reports suggesting Bray Wyatt had mental issues were false news

The quest to find the real reason for WWE to release Bray Wyatt paved the way for some absurd and false rumors. There were reports weeks ago suggesting Bray Wyatt’s absence after WrestleMania was because of mental health issues. However, Fightful has reached out to some of the closest sources to Bray and has confirmed that those reports suggest he had mental health issues were false. The report from them further added that Bray was 100% healthy and was competent to wrestle during those days of absence.

The real reason for Wyatt’s absence from WWE was to add more creative elements to his character. Other commitments, such as family engagements, also delayed his return. Fightful also reported that the actual plan was to make Bray return on tonight’s WWE RAW at Orlando before his imminent release.

Why did WWE release Bray?

WWE fans were despondent to hear that WWE released Bray Wyatt. According to reports, the reason behind Bray’s release was budget cuts by WWE to balance their books. Now that Bray Wyatt has become a free agent, his next venture is the talk of the town. AEW has thrown its name in the hat to sign Wyatt, but with names like IMPACT on the rise, his future could lie elsewhere.
