Brandi Rhodes Makes Cody Rhodes a Laughing Stock on the Internet

We all know that Cody Rhodes loves his wife. But much like many married men, he may be a little deaf to the spousal symphony. Brandi Rhodes recently took to social media and shared how Cody Rhodes ditched a brand new pair of shoes, which were a gift from Brandi, for his regular “slippery” shoes. However, Mrs. Rhodes got her revenge on The American Nightmare by exposing him on Twitter. 

Brandi and Cody first met in 2011 in WWE. After dating for a few years, the couple finally exchanged vows in 2013. The couple then worked together in the indies circuit before finally landing in AEW. That said, it is a match made in heaven. But again, no matter how much Cody loves his wife, he is a man. And men are creatures of habit.

Cody Rhodes is undeniably one of the most popular stars in WWE today. From his on-screen character to his attire to his entrance, Rhodes has become a must-see personality. As a thoughtful wife, Brandi recently got Cody Rhodes a brand new Nike Tiffany Air Force 1’s for the ring. However, Rhodes preferred bouncing off the ropes in his slippery red bottoms.

Taking to Twitter, Brandi Rhodes tweeted about how Rhodes refused to let go of his wrestling boots over a gift from his wife. She wrote, “Just got him the Tiffany Airforce 1’s…but he said, nah lemme just hit a cutter in these slippery a*s red bottoms real quick.”

Let’s admit that Brandi was being really considerate and contemplative by offering Cody the new shoes, as Cody Cutter involves bouncing off the ropes. Given that the ropes are already slippery, it pays to have shoes with a better grip. However, Rhodes is perhaps too used to delivering the move in his old boots.

Nonetheless, the 2023 Royal Rumble winner has never had any slip-ups in the ring so far. In fact, he tore the house down with his performance at SummerSlam. Speaking of which, Rhodes dedicated his match against Brock Lesnar to his wife, though some fans thought it wasn’t a good idea.

Let’s face it, Cody Rhodes has never faced an opponent as vicious as Brock Lesnar in his entire career. Moreover, beating a guy like Brock Lesnar cleanly is a rare feat that very few in the business have achieved. After clashing for months, Cody Rhodes vowed to defeat The Beast Incarnate at SummerSlam. 

Interestingly, the match took place in Détroit, which is the home state of Brandi Rhodes. In the lead-up to the match, Rhodes relayed on Instagram that he was dedicating his ultimate battle with Brock Lesnar to his wife.
