As a person who has competed in professional wrestling, amateur wrestling, football, and mixed martial arts, Brock Lesnar has set high standards for other athletes. While some athletes found it extremely difficult to build a career in one discipline, Lesnar achieved it in several. And the fact that he has won titles in the NCAA, WWE, and UFC is what distinguishes him from other athletes.

In light of this fact, he has been compared to many of the greatest sportsmen, including the legendary boxers Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson. However, Lesnar’s longtime close associate Paul Heyman debunked the comparison between The Beast Incarnate and the legendary boxers. This is somewhat unexpected, considering that Heyman always spoke highly of him. And he was the one who gave him the title ‘The Next Big Thing’.

He stated, “Brock Lesnar is not Mike Tyson…Nor is Brock Lesnar another version of Muhammad Ali. The former Cassius Clay was a calculating, manipulative media sensation who used the power of the television medium to unravel his opponents. All in the frame of smiling, telling jokes, and once reinstated. Trying to present himself as flamboyant and colorful, but never dangerous.”

Why does Paul Heyman not consider Brock Lesnar to be equivalent to Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali?

He provided a reason for it. “Brock Lesnar is dangerous. Brock Lesnar is a scary human being. He is frightening, even to those who know him. But Brock is not going to be a thug. He’s not going to go “looking for trouble. Brock has taken his aggression, his competitiveness, and his love for physical dominance and has carefully crafted a multi-million-dollar career around it.”

Heyman contends that Lesnar is significantly different from the boxers in that he exudes a scary presence that terrifies everyone around him. Meanwhile, the most intriguing reason he gave was that Lesnar had a reputation for being deadly both inside and outside of the ring. Unlike Ali and Tyson, who only had that reputation within their respective sports.
