The debates regarding CM Punk’s return are not recent. It’s been a debate for a while now and Superstars have made their comments about it. Most recently , Booker T broke his silence regarding Punk’s return to the ring.
Booker T reveals his thoughts about CM Punk’s return
Booker T revealed his thoughts about the return of CM Punk on Reality of Wrestling . Obviously, his fans want him to return to the ring. If not for a long period then definitely for one match.

However, Booker T feels that CM Punk quit the business in a way that he would not want to remember. Therefore, it makes more than enough sense to ensure he returns to the business to leave it again in a much better way.
“CM Punk man, he left the business I don’t think the way he want to remember. You know, at the end of the day ‘I left the business that way’. All right, you know what be that as it may, people can say whatever they want to say about Punk, he was a big asset to the business. You know, he was hot. He was red hot when he walked away from this thing.”
Booker T referred to his own experience of coming back to WWE. According to him, had he quit during the King Booker run and never touched the business again, it would have been completely unjust.
CM Punk will need to accept his position in the locker room
In fact, Booker T is of the opinion that CM Punk does want to get back in the ring. Unfortunately, after walking away the way he did, it will not be an easy return.
Moreover, it’s been seven years since he walked away from the business. As a matter of fact, the Superstars that CM Punk shared the locker room with have changed as well.
The only ones remaining from Punk’s time in the locker room are Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Kofi. So, if he does make a return to WWE now, he will be one of the elder guys in the locker room.
Reflecting upon his own experience, Booker T reveals that he has been the youngest and oldest Superstar in the locker room.
Even at 40, he had absolutely no issues going at it with the younger Superstars. Now, if Punk does make a return then he will need to be comfortable with his own age and in his own skin.

The fact that CM Punk still appears on WWE Backstage proves that he is still interested in the business.

Furthermore, Booker T has a great answer to proable opponents for Punk.

“Adam Cole is definitely a good choice but the guy for me who is the worker that’s AJ Styles. I pick AJ because AJ is one of those guys to work. He’s at a level in the business where he knows everything about it and that’s very important when a guy coming back trying to get back into it. You know, because things has changed a whole lot and AJ can say ‘hey bro let me make you look good here tonight’.”
