Joe Hendry has finally been moving closer to having his superstardom moment in the promotion after a lot of back-and-forth since the start of his career in 2013. The TNA Wrestling star couldn’t even have imagined the way he became an overnight sensation after a few appearances in the WWE developmental brand in the recent past.
After a brief cameo as part of the battle royal on June 18’s NXT episode, NXT Heatwave, Hendry scored his first WWE win, alongside Trick William against Shawn Spears and new NXT champ, Ethan Page. With this, it seems that the whole WWE Universe started to believe in Joe Hendry. Well, that said, not everyone in the house is a believer. As a pretty rare instance at this point, Hendry failed to take WWE veteran Booker T into his side.

At the starting hour of the NXT Heatwave at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, Booker T made an offensive gesture. As he stepped into the arena, Booker T came across a crazy fan proudly displaying a sign of belief in Joe Hendry. To everyone’s surprise, King Booker tore the fan sign apart, indicating a strong emotion of disapproval of the Edinburgh-born.
The disrespectful antic, quite essentially, didn’t go unnoticed by Hendry who chose to fire back with a comedy photoshop. The saga doesn’t end here, though. Stretching on that equation, in the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T was asked if he really has any animosity toward the new NXT face. In a quick yet vogue response, ‘‘Well, I don’t believe. I’m just saying, as of this point, no, I don’t. I don’t believe. Okay. Well, let’s go. I just don’t believe.”

However, despite the affairs seemingly leading to beef, the heat might be temporary and not that serious as the WWE Hall of Famer previously possessed a slightly different view of the potential WWE superstar.
Booker T feels intrigued by the TNA superstar Joe Hendry’s on-screen charisma
Hendry, 36, has been standing on the verge of wrapping up his TNT stint following the contract termination while WWE fans can already see him in the WWE boots. Amidst the rapid rumor of his WWE debut, the Scottish wrestler fanned the flame of it further by teasing a match against legendary John Cena following his retirement tour announcement at MITB. But the one in the company that has always taken him with a grain of salt is none other than Booker T.

However, the veteran possessed a less intense distaste toward Hendry even a few days back. When he was asked about the new NXT sensation, he confessed that he didn’t know much about Hendry. The only take he gave about the 36-year-old is that he’s a freakin handsome athlete. The rest of the opinions he held off for the future to show what extra he could bring to the table.
