Self-claim is great, until one gets called out for it. This is especially the case in the wrestling industry. In fact, two veterans of the industry, Booker T and Stone Cold Steve Austin, are examples of this situation.

Previously, Booker T had claimed that he was one of the top workers in the world during the time he was actively working in the company. It is great that he believes in himself, however, Stone Cold Steve Austin disagreed with this statement. ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ doesn’t think King Booker was a top wrestler in the business, let alone one of the top five.

Of course, the WWE Hall of Famer responded to Stone Cold Steve Austin’s disagreement and explained why Stone Cold disagreed. He focused on the fact that it was because he hadn’t won a title during that time, and the tag team titles did not count.

“Well, he (Regal) had an issue with me saying I’m one of the top five workers in the world,” Booker T said. “Lot of guys, you know, Stone Cold Steve Austin, he brought that up. Lot of guys (got) rubbed the wrong way, I think, in the locker room.

“Me being a brash, young guy saying I was one of the top five workers in the world at that time and hadn’t won a world title yet. Well, I had won tag team gold but I hadn’t won singles gold or anything like that. I still was saying I was one of the top five workers in the world.”

However, Booker T sticks to his self-praise regardless of whether or not Stone Cold agrees.

Did Booker T want a similar entrance like Stone Cold?

It’s possible King Booker does not like every element about Stone Cold Steve Austin’s wrestling career.

Recently, he spoke about WWE not giving much attention to entrances. However, he thinks Stone Cold’s entrance was one that could put any Superstar under the limelight. Unfortunately, not everyone got an entrance like that.

“Just like, for instance, when I heard Stone Cold Steve Austin’s music and the glass break, that could’ve been – of course Steve Austin took it and ran with it and took it all the way to the hilt – but that entrance could’ve been for so many different guys. That entrance and theme probably could’ve got over just about every guy that had that alone.”

Now, this may have been the case back then, but now, several Superstars have flashy entrances that are eye-catching.
