Many celebrities refrain from talking about potentially controversial topics because of the amount of criticism it can get them. This can be considered a wise choice. Although, fortune does favor the bold, and WWE Hall Of Famer Booker T belongs to that minority that always wishes to speak openly.
In a recent interview on the Hall Of Fame Podcast, Booker T voiced his opinion on inter-gender matches in WWE. The entire thing began after the latest episode of Raw when Randy Orton betrayed Ric Flair and delivered a devastating Punt Kick to him.

Fans have since been teasing a match between “The Viper” and Charlotte Flair, who would be set on avenging her father. Booker T was brought across the topic and shared his thoughts immediately.
“It’s ridiculous, it’s nonsensical. Charlotte Flair goes and beats Randy Orton or Drew McIntyre, ruins these guy’s careers, forever. Now she has to go against Braun Strowman for the title. This is not Wonder Woman. This is making people believe they’re watching a simulated fight between two equals,” says Booker.

Booker T highlights the fact that men and women have different physical limits. To fix a match between the two genders and assume it’s a level playing field would be unfair.
Booker T explains how the fight would be nearly impossible to sell
“Think about this, your sister has a boyfriend and her boyfriend beat the hell out of her. What are you supposed to say? ‘She should have fought back harder!’ It’s ridiculous. It makes no sense,” explains Booker. “If somebody put their hands on my mom or my sister, it’s going to be a problem.”

Booker T tries to elucidate the fact that the outcome of the match would cause a big dent on the losing party’s career. He makes his stance clear that such matches should not see the light of day in WWE.

“If anybody thinks it’s okay for a man to fight a woman, and it’s a fair fight, it’s a problem. Can you imagine Claressa Shields fighting Deontay Wilder? Look at it from that perspective. If you don’t understand it, I have wasted my time,” concludes Booker.

Perhaps the WWE Hall Of Famer has a valid point here. Setting up a match between both prominent faces of each division would be disastrous. It would even be near impossible to sell such a stipulation as a fair game, even if WWE tried. Booker for one is certain that the matchup would not be a good idea.
