Over the years, we have witnessed multiple WWE stars doing key roles in Hollywood films. But, back then, the former CEO of WWE had not allowed some wrestlers to just go and act in movies.

A few years ago, WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura appeared in an interview shared by Title Match Wrestling on their YouTube channel. He explained how he embarrassed Vince McMahon after filming the movie Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Ventura said, “I went off ten weeks to do Predator. Saturday Night Main Event got renewed for a second season but NBC thought there would be Jesse Ventura. There wasn’t Jesse Ventura, there was Bobby Heenan. The heat came down from NBC, ‘We brought this program with Jesse Ventura. Where the hell is he?’ Then Vince came back. Now the ball is in my court. ”
He added, “When I came back from Predator, the first thing I did on the set of Predator, Schwarzenegger came up to me and said, ‘Jesse my next film this fall is going to be The Running Man.’ He said there’s a part there you’re perfect for I wish I would I like you to do it. I said great. So before when I got back to the United States after Predator, before I even talk to Vince, I signed The Running Man that fall so that I have the ace in the hole. This way I could say Vince no because now I had an acting career.”
This gave the WWE legend the reason to say no to any offer from Vince McMahon. He went on to have an acting career and also became a part of the SAG (Screen Actors Guild). Moreover, Ventura had many benefits from WWE and was ready to put his wrestling career behind him.
