He mentioned how his senior year had been difficult due to a serious injury. Additionally, unlike many of his buddies, he was not selected in the NFL draft. And was not invited to the combine. So, he joined the CFL but was released from there as well. However, after returning home penniless, he made the decision to work hard. The effort paid off, and his career is a shining illustration of it.
