Less than 24 hours after defending his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell Match, Bobby Lashley was brave enough to fight yet another Hell in a Cell match on RAW. This time, his opponent was one of the members of the New Day, Xavier Woods. Bobby, who was the one who wanted the match, comfortably defeated Woods. The match was made official during the opening segment that featured Bobby Lashley accepting the challenge laid out by Kofi Kingston to face him in the Money in the Bank PPV for the WWE title.
Bobby Lashley sends a deterrent to Kofi Kingston
After accepting the title challenge of Kofi Kingston, Bobby Lashley demanded a match with his counterpart, Xavier Woods. Lashley humiliated Woods by calling him Kofi’s “Gaming buddy,” which infuriated the former tag team champion. Woods then said that the match would be a hell of a cell match accepted by Lashley. The match turned out to be the main event of RAW, and Lashley was successful in defeating Woods with little trouble.

Woods never had a stage where he felt like he was in charge, as Lashley successfully nullified every momentum that woods attained. After the match, when the officials were trying to open the cage for the superstars to leave, MVP sneaked in and locked the cage from inside. Lashley then mauled woods as Kofi watched helplessly from outside the steel cage.
Will Kofi Kingston be able to avenge Lashley’s actions?
Kofi Kingston watched his friend getting savaged by the WWE champion helplessly. Frequently MVP has tried to underestimate Kofi by playing with words and mind games. It looks like WWE is trying to create yet another underdog story with Kofi Kingston as they had done before when he was in Smackdown. The last time Kofi won the WWE Championship when he defeated Daniel Bryan in WrestleMania 35.

But his Championship reign didn’t last too long as he lost the title to “The Beast” Brock Lesnar in a match that saw Lesnar demolish Kingston. Now the Lashley VS Kingston match also seems predictable, as it is almost certain that “The Almighty” is destined to keep his Championship. The only thing that the WWE Universe is looking up to is how WWE intends to play this match as the fans don’t want something similar to the Lesnar VS Kingston match.
