The introduction of the gimmick Uncle Howdy has made Bo Dallas one of the most popular superstars in WWE’s current roster. There are several advantages to attaining this level of fame, but some disadvantages also accrue alongside the honor. Because of his fame, Bo Dallas’s past has recently resurfaced on the internet. An incident from 2016 came to light where the WWE star found himself on the wrong side of the law.

Dallas found himself apprehended by the authorities for drinking too much in public. Let’s revise a bit. On August 26, 2016, Bo Dallas boarded a flight from Dallas International Airport when this incident occurred. The WWE star had consumed too much alcohol that day, making him a nuisance on the plane.

The plane promptly removed him from their premises because he exhibited signs of danger to others on board. When asked how much he drank, Bo Dallas responded, “I am not planning on driving today.” Unfortunately, this is not the first drinking incident involving the WWE star, as he was booked for a DUI incident in 2012.

Nevertheless, Bo Dallas was fined up to $500 for this event and has since not been spotted drinking much in public. Although this incident is just a blast from the past, supporters are concerned that any similar recurring issues could damage Uncle Howdy’s reputation.

Can these Bo Dallas stories affect Uncle Howdy’s character?

WWE protects the character of Uncle Howdy from every angle of the program. Although WWE has ensured that there would be no reports about Uncle Howdy in the market that can harm the seriousness of the character other than conjecture, they cannot control the rumors about Bo Dallas that continue to surface. Fans are reacting negatively to these instances, with some speculating that they may undermine Uncle Howdy’s persona and the character will be taken less seriously with time.

However, it appears that WWE has already established a foundation for situations like this. If you recall this week’s edition of Raw, there was a cassette in which a recording of Uncle Howdy sitting with Bo Dallas was shown on television. The recording plainly shows Uncle Howdy attempting to instill guilt in Bo Dallas in order to better control him. Howdy has exhibited signs of guiding a flock of lost sheep as part of his faction. So ideally, he should be setting the best examples for his stable members as they aim to wreak havoc in the promotion. Moreover, since the storyline involving the Wyatt Sicks is close to Dallas’ heart, we can assume that he will be on his best behavior.
