Uncle Howdy is growing his eerie presence in the WWE. From earlier vignettes to showing up with the entire Wyatt Sicks group and then taking out many stars in the RAW locker room, Uncle Howdy is delivering on his promise. In the last few weeks, fans have also seen Bo Dallas, the man behind the Uncle Howdy mask, appear in VHS tapes. It is one of those VHS tapes that might have a clue to Dallas’ first opponent since his return.
During last week’s Raw program, another VHS tape made its way to the commentary table and it appears that there was a phrase in that video that may have something to do with Dallas’ opponent. In the video, Dallas says, “There’s been loss; too much. But grief is the price you pay for love. But now, we must set the captives free, so they need no master…” A fan theory suggests these puppets may be Alpha Academy, with their master being Chad Gable.
The explanation for this has been established, which is that Chad Gable considered the Alpha Academy members as his students. Furthermore, he referred to himself as Master Gable and planned to refer to himself as Master in the Bank if he won the Money in the Bank ladder match. Because of these indications, it appears that Dallas has earmarked Gable and his ex-team in his most recent VHS tape.

The theory suggested by @marcobino2003 on X states, “When Bo says ‘but now we must set the captives free so they need no master’ I’ve heard people say they think it’s the puppets. What if he’s talking about Alpha Academy? I remember them calling him master gable, and he was going to call himself master in the bank.” This theory holds a lot of weight.

Remember the Wyatt Sicks’ debut appearance on June 17. Among the security personnel and officials attacked by the faction, the only WWE superstar who was a victim was Chad Gable. Then after Gable won his Money in the Bank qualifier match, Abby the Witch (Nikki Cross) appeared, as the lights had gone completely out and stalked Gable, until he ran away. Gable has been the constant target of the Wyatt Sicks and another VHS tape revealed why he could be Dallas’ opponent soon.
On the first RAW of this month, a VHS tape hinted as to why the faction was targeting him. In the video, Dallas talking to his alter ego, Uncle Howdy is saying, “They weren’t chosen – just willing. Clay in the hands of the potter. Died to the flesh to become something beautiful. They’ve become a family. We’ve become a family. Even now there are false prophets berating and belittling their family for their own gain. It’s disgusting. They must pay for their sins.” While, the first part refers to the Wyatt Sicks, the second half of his statement could be about the Alpha Academy family and how Gable mistreated them.
Hence, the fan theory about Dallas and Gable squaring off makes more sense. On X, many fans agreed with the prediction. A fan pointed out, “I like this a lot because Bo has stated several times that he is not special, he’s nobody. Which would imply that he’s not a master he’s not higher then them therefore master wouldn’t be him.” The Bo Dalla/Uncle Howdy VHS tapes have given fans an insight into Dallas’ psyche in his new role. Rather than pushing himself as a cult leader, like his late brother Bray Wyatt’s character, he has said that he isn’t a leader but he was himself lost. So the puppets could be the members of the Alpha Academy with Gable being their former master.
Another fan pointed out, “Agree, I love it because the puppets are already free and being portrayed by the family… so this makes lots more sense.” The Alpha Academy broke away from Gable on the June 17 episode of RAW, hence they are already free and these words of Dallas may be an indication of him coming for Gable.
One more thing to note is that Gable berated the Alpha Academy members often, with his treatment of Maxxine Dupri on June 17 being the breaking point for Otis who along with Akira Tozawa quit the faction. As we mentioned, Dallas called out false prophets for “”berating and “belittling” their family, so it will make sense for him to wrestle Gable to teach others a lesson. For one fan it also means that this message is for every faction not treating its members well.
They wrote, “It’s a warning to the entire company that’s mistreating any wrestler. Gable is the first example of what’s to come.” Could we see the Wyatt 6 target other leaders after they are done with Gable?

So, a match between Bo Dallas and Chad Gable seems likely, but when could it take place?
Bo Dallas’ bout against Chad Gable could occur at SummerSlam
There might not be any better event for Uncle Howdy’s in-ring debut other than SummerSlam at the moment. WWE’s “Biggest Party of the Summer,” is more or less viewed as the WrestleMania of the summer, and hence the occasion is big enough for Howdy to face Gable. Also, it will be poetic as well.

Dallas’s late brother, Bray Wyatt competed as “The Fiend” for the first time at SummerSlam beating Finn Balor in 2019. Furthermore, there are rumors swirling that Bo Dallas/Uncle Howdy will not face off against Gable in a one-on-one match. Chad Gable is expected to establish his own team to compete against Wyatt Sicks, A match that gives the Wyatt 6 a chance to shine would be more appealing than a routine one one-on-one encounter.
