Over the past few weeks, QR codes have been displayed at different times of WWE shows. This will eventually end with the return of Uncle Howdy (Bo Dallas). Thanks to the clues given by the QR codes, fans could assume that Howdy wasn’t going to return alone. And now we know that it won’t be just Dallas, but rather, he will be joined by Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, Erick Rowan, and Joe Gacy.
Even then, it won’t be an easy task for Dallas. Apart from the fact that he did not have a good main roster run in the past, being able to continue the legacy left behind by his brother Bray Wyatt seems like a daunting task. And he sure is facing the pressure of it as revealed by a former WWE superstar.

The QR code aroused the curiosity of the WWE Universe to make their own guesses. As to who Uncle Howdy could be and when he would return. But one thing is for certain everything would be designed to pay tribute to Bray Wyatt. And this daunting task falls on the shoulders of his brother, Bo Dallas. Dallas is in charge of embodying the character of Uncle Howdy. And according to Ryback, Dallas is feeling the pressure. As he revealed on The Ryback Show. He said, “Now I think he’s going to be coming in and he’s going to have pressure on him. He’s been gone off of WWE TV for a long time. As far is really being on there, outside of the little stuff with Bray and Bray’s not there anymore, with it, and so now everything falls on his shoulders. And like I’m personally pulling for him. And I hope fans are really behind him and give him a fair opportunity.”
Uncle Howdy often acted as an ‘inside voice’ to question Bray Wyatt and Alexa Bliss, seeking to find in the depths of their minds. The most twisted thoughts so that they could take down their enemies. During the WWE Royal Rumble 2023, Uncle Howdy helped Bray defeat Knight by launching himself from the top of the stage with a Splash.
Later in that same event, after losing a title match to Bianca Belair, Howdy reminded Alexa Bliss of her past at Bray’s side, asking her if she thought she was in control. This may well have been a hint to re-recruit Alexa, but she later went off TV due to her pregnancy. Bray stopped appearing in March, as did Howdy, until Bray’s unfortunate passing was finally announced in August 2023.

And according to a veteran creative of the sport, bringing back the character now seems like a bad idea.
Vince Russo questions Uncle Howdy’s faction and WWE continuing Bray Wyatt’s legacy
On the latest episode of Writing With Russo, former WWE writer Vince Russo shared his thoughts on this new faction, stating that WWE’s gamble is very risky. Russo expressed his respect for WWE’s desire to continue Wyatt’s legacy but warned that if they don’t do it correctly, they could taint it.

He conveyed, “This is very, very, very, very dangerous because what they are attempting to do I tip my hat to. They are looking to honor his legacy, and I tip my hat for that, bro. I give them credit for that. I don’t have a problem with that. But, Chris, this is a slippery slope if it’s not good because if it’s not good they will tarnish his legacy. And, bro, I’m just going on track record alone. I don’t have confidence, bro, in WWE creative. I don’t.”
For now, the faction hasn’t made its TV debut, so there are few details about its direction. However, they are expected to follow the line that Bray Wyatt set in his last stint in WWE. It will be interesting to see if the fans accept this and give the faction a chance, especially since Bray’s brother will lead it.
