Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion and current Impact Women’s Champion Trinity Fatu attended a gathering for the great Anoa’i family on 21st August. The gathering supposedly took place on 20th August with everyone attending it wearing black.

Earlier a group picture featuring Solo Sikoa and Jey Uso (with blurred faces) was uploaded by Trinity which was her way of keeping alive kayfabe for both wrestlers. Now, another picture uploaded by her led to false reporting, which she was quick to point out.

Trinity Fatu slams false reporting from media outlet

Ex-WWE Superstar Trinity Fatu aka Naomi posted a clarification story on her Instagram account. The story was posted on 21st August with a picture of Naomi, her husband Jimmy Uso, and her uncle who has an uncanny resemblance with brother Rikishi.

She wrote “This is Pops/Rikishi brother! Not him.” The message consisted of a post from a media outlet stating that “WWF Legend Rikishi looks UNRECOGNIZABLE after shaving his head.” It was uploaded around the 21st of August on their Instagram account.

Earlier, Naomi had posted the same picture on her Instagram story and tagged her father-in-law and WWE legend Rikishi. Fans assumed it to be Rikishi and were surprised by the look. It led to a series of assumptions before the media outlet WrestleFeed reported it.

WWE fans were shocked by the resemblance and assumed the legend had abandoned his signature dreadlock hairstyle for a simplistic look.

Trinity then took to Instagram to clarify the situation herself. The message reached WrestleFeed who later posted the clarification post from Trinity on their page on the same day. 

Trinity Fatu blundered with another group picture of Anoa’i family

Earlier, the Impact Wrestling Champion had posted a group picture of several members of the extended Anoa’i family. The family picture featured two people who were blurred out. Fans were quick to notice that they might Solo Sikoa and Jey Uso.

As per the ongoing WWE storyline, Solo Sikoa and Jey Uso are fighting against each other. So, to keep the kayfabe storyline running, Trinity had to blur it out. But her attempts could not astray the fans.

Fans have heard rumors about Rikishi participating in The Bloodline Saga, especially after his sons turned against each other. But Rikishi simply put it down by stating “I would have to go silent on that one… Not until the time is right.” Only time will tell how he will come back to the aid of his family.
