However, the ending segment of Friday Night SmackDown has proven that Rhodes truly is on the path to leaving every face behind. In fact, he has already cemented his stature as the top dog of the company via merchandise sales.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Cody Rhodes’ numbers as the face of WWE are so good that he is on his way to surpassing other greats such as John Cena himself. Moreover, he is reaching the heights of iconic stars as people like Stone Cold, Steve Austin, and The Rock, who led the company during the most successful era, the Attitude Era. This will position Cody Rhodes as one of the greatest legends in the company’s history in the future.

“There’s Cody Rhodes outside the ring. Is everything like he’s one of the best babyfaces they have ever had. And I mean, he’s drawn like it too. I mean, like you know, look, his numbers are bigger than Cena. You know, I mean, so that’s that would make him the biggest, most successful baby faces since, you know, the Austin Rock era,” Meltzer said.

The former AEW star has fit perfectly into his role in WWE and continues to embark on an all-time great run. However, his reign has only just begun, and he still has a lot to offer all fans. With Clash at the Castle underway, WWE would try its best to capitalize on the heat that the Phenomenal One has created. So Rhodes has to beat Styles and give a match to remember for sure.
