The main event of SummerSlam between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa promised chaos and delivered.  As expected under the Bloodlinen rules, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa interfered but were taken out by Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. The real havoc was wrecked by Jacob Fatu . He hit a top rope splash that sent both him and Rhodes crashing through the announce table. However, the landing seemed to have hurt Fatu, who was later seen unable to stand and screaming in pain while holding his leg.

On a night that saw betrayals, new champions, and much more, Fatu made himself stand out performing with his trademark intensity as he tried to help Sikao win the WWE Undisputed Championship. But the attempt fell short and the night ended on a sour note for The Bloodline, with Sikao taken out by a returning Roman Reigns and Fatu seemingly injured following his high-risk spot. An update on Fatu has surfaced which may help clear the air.

PW Nexus is a specialized media platform that provides major updates and news from the realm of pro wrestling. As a result, they are often seen attending WWE PLEs to cover the major events. So, when a user asked them on X whether the Samoan Werewolf is indeed injured, PW Nexus provided an important update as they wrote, “Saw him standing at the end, so that should be a good sign!”

They also shared that according to their sources “Jacob Fatu” is fine. After the match ended, footage online showed Fatu was seen being assisted by the officials as he made his way backstage. While it is possible he may be legitimately injured, the fact a stretcher wasn’t called out suggests it wasn’t a major injury. It could be possible that Fatu might be selling the spot and may take a backseat while the program between Reigns and Sikao builds.

Meanwhile, WWE CCO Triple H also shared an update on Fatu’s injury in the post even press conference.

While praising work done by the Bloodline 2.0, ‘The Game’ said, “I have to mention Jacob Fatu because he’s like a force of nature, and it’s amazing to see him. Unfortunately, he got a little banged up in that last match… I’ll see where that nets out here in a little bit. Hopefully, nothing serious. It was bugging him a little bit, the leg so, we will see where he is.”

HHH also mentioned that Logan Paul was another star who may have not come out of SummerSlam a 100% fit.

It is worth noting that this is the second injury received by a Bloodline member in the last two weeks. An eye injury was sustained by Tonga Loa during a fight with Kevin Owens on the 19 July edition of SmackDown. As a result, Jacob Fatu decided to step forward as Tama Tonga’s partner for the tag team title match between them and DIY on SmackDown a night before SummerSlam and won the titles.

Fatu has also been impressive since his debut in June and has stood out as one of the Bloodline’s more versatile workers. As such if there is an injury to him, it won’t bode well for Sikao’s group.

Now that, Roman Reigns has marked his return in the Stamford-based promotion and seeing that he will be feuding with Sikao and his faction, what does the future hold for Fatu? Well, according to a WWE veteran, the possibilities are limitless for the Samoan.

Long before being a part of the WWE, Jacob Fatu was already considered one of the most talented Samoan wrestlers of his generation. Due to his wealth of experience after being a key part of several independent promotions, it wasn’t long before he became a fan favorite. In fact, his fandom is not limited to non-wrestlers, as veteran of the sport Matt Hardy too seems to be an admirer of his.

In one of the episodes of his podcast, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the high flyer shared his thoughts on the Samoan Werewolf. He said, “I do gotta say, I’m very, very excited Jacob Fatu got to show up in WWE. He’s someone that, since I met him, I’ve loved him. He’s been great. Really excited for him. I think his future is limitless. I think he’s gonna be incredible going forward.”

He further added, “First and foremost, he’s just been so respectful towards me and Jeff. Big into The Hardys when he was coming up. He’s just such a down-to-earth, on-the-level guy. Much like most Samoans, really just a cool Uce. Just such a cool cat. He is so insanely talented. He’s a big guy, he can move, he’s strong. He can do it all. I am very, very excited to see him on the WWE plane and see how great he can become. I think his ceiling is extremely, extremely high. I think he’s a guy who can be a leader there. He’s special.”

Well, seeing that Hardy has such a high opinion of the superstar, it won’t be surprising to see him become one of the biggest weapons against Sikoa’s fight with Roman Reigns. Even Reigns might acknowledge the brute strength of the Samoans and try to recruit him as a part of his team instead. What do you think? Will Fatu play a key role against Roman Reigns?
