Big Return on WWE Smackdown Ahead of the Royal Rumble- Braun Strowman Brings Chaos Into the Ring

A chaotic episode of WWE SmackDown ended in commotion, with Braun Strowman making an emphatic return to WWE. For the uninitiated, Pearce had suspended Strowman after the ‘Monster Among Men’ put his hands on a WWE official. His return also shows that he might enter the 2021 Royal Rumble, making him an instant favourite.

WWE SmackDown witnesses a chaotic main event

SmackDown’s main event was supposed to be Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles, in what seemed like a genuine classic waiting to happen. Unfortunately, Sami Zayn came to the ring and continued to protest the injustices against him. Zayn turned his sign around to reveal ‘Big E is not my champion’, which prompted the Intercontinental Champion to come out.

Cesaro was on commentary for the main event and quickly interjected himself into the brawl that ensued during the match. Bryan took everyone out with a suicide dive, but the referee called the match off after Sami attacked Bryan.

The heels beat down the faces until Shinsuke Nakamura walked out to even the odds. Nakamura, Bryan and Big E would then face Cesaro, Sami Zayn and AJ Styles in a six-man tag team match. This match also ended in a disappointing disqualification after The Miz and John Morrison walked out and attacked Big E.

The six-man tag became a ten-man tag team match once Otis joined forces with the faces. Bryan’s team was still a man short until Sheamus ran down the ramp and kicked Sami Zayn’s head off his shoulders to win the match.

Braun Strowman makes his WWE return

After Sheamus picked up the winning pinfall, The Miz and John Morrison attacked the Celtic Warrior. The big win Sheamus picked against Miz and Morrison on Raw inspired the heels to target him. Once the rest of the heels joined the attack, the Monster Among Men’s music hits and he marched down to the ring.

Strowman ran through the heels at ringside, before nearly decapitating Sami Zayn with a massive clothesline. He took out Zayn and Cesaro emphatically, as the commentators wondered whether he will enter the Royal Rumble.

With 2/3rds of the Rumble field completed, Strowman entering the Rumble leaves nine spots. One can expect WWE legends or NXT superstars to fill up those spots. However, it will be a joy to watch Strowman toss these superstars around in the Royal Rumble match.
