SummerSlam 2024 has gone down in history on a spectacular note, especially considering how the Bloodline saga panned out. Roman Reigns made a breathtaking return to the fold after a four-month hiatus to see eye-to-eye with the new Bloodline under Solo Sikoa. The Big Dog stormed through the ring, executed a Superman punch, and sent Sikoa packing with a spear in a blink. He cryptically stared at Cody Rhodes and the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship leaving some Easter eggs for us to speculate over. But this was not all that eye candy in the match. The Samoan Werewolf has also been a treat to watch throughout since his debut. He destroyed the American Nightmare in all ways he could do, but accidentally injured himself in the feet, too. While the wrestling world expressed concern about the 32-year-old’s future, Booker T found a unique hitch.
In the middle of the match, Fatu arrived in the ring to wreak havoc on Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare had just gotten a stronghold of the match, delivering two Cross Rhodes to silence Sikoa. Just as he was gearing up to launch a third, Fatu came out to launch an attack. Eating back-to-back splashes from the ferocious Bloodline member, Rhodes managed to avoid getting pinned. A desperate Fatu then put him through the announcer’s table as the last bit of his assault. But the spot went wrong as the former MLW champion suffered an injury.
The star has been seen wearing a protective boot on his right foot following the mishap. However, given no stretcher was there to carry him up, it might not be very menacing. It could be WWE’s way of leaving space for Sikoa and Reigns sage in the meantime.

Triple H said yesterday that we need to wait and see if it’s a serious injury. However, given how he viciously carried out the whole segment, staying resilient, it seemed tough to believe that the hurt was real.
Triple H (@HaangEmHiigh) confirmed that Jacob Fatu suffered a non-planned injury to the leg/shin area. He said "I'll find out the details on that soon, he's pretty banged up, and we hope its nothing serious." #SummerSlam pic.twitter.com/2bRUQ7LX4g

Booker T. and Brad Gilmore skeptical of Jacob Fatu’s SummerSlam injury
What’s your perspective on:
Is Jacob Fatu really injured, or is he just playing mind games with his opponents?

In an insightful analysis, Booker T. expressed the legitimacy of the injury, pinpointing a few logical visuals to back his stance up. During the latest edition of Hall of Famer Podcast edition, Brad Gilmore noted ”It looks like he sells the knee, right? When he hits the table. So if it’s the knee, why do you have a boot on your foot? You know what I’m saying? Well, I know the foot bones are connected to the knee bone, but I don’t know if one causes you to have a boot. I’m saying it could be legit. I’m serious. I have no idea,” The WWE Hall of Famer also agreed with the sentiment due to Fatu’s aura although he cited a personal example to state otherwise.
“He turned his ankle or something. You know, that’s one thing that I had a problem with. You know, my career was to roll on my ankle. But you never know, man. I don’t know. I’ve never seen Jacob Fatu hurt. This guy has always been, like I say, he’s always been, like indestructible,” said Booker T.
