Joe Hendry has been a recurring face in WWE as part of the NXT roster. Despite being signed to TNA, the Stamford-based company is using his talent and fame to its full extent. It seems like he will be moving on from the NXT roster soon only to show up on Monday Night Raw to face off against his own countryman.
The wrestler is Scottish by nationality and was spotted admiring Drew McIntyre recently on the developmental brand of WWE. This may be foreshadowing what is about to come in WWE, as we must prepare ourselves for it.

Both McIntyre and Hendry haven’t had the chance to come face-to-face for a feud up until now, despite working for the same promotion. This is probably because Hendry wasn’t a recurring personality in the leading wrestling promotion until late. He was spotted in NXT again, but this time with a twist. Before his concert began, Joe Hendry was walking backstage, smiling in his usual demeanor. He eventually came across Drew McIntyre’s portrait-sized picture. The Impact Wrestler looked at it and nodded a satisfying nod. While this could be just a basic acknowledgment of his fellow countrymen, WWE usually isn’t that subtle.

The promotion is popular for several long-term plot details that eventually make sense to fans. So, this may be foreshadowing Joe Hendry’s first main roster feud whenever he decides to show up and light the arena on fire with his presence. But what about McIntyre’s ongoing storyline, you might be thinking? Well, that may be about to end soon.
Joe Hendry might be free to feud with McIntyre soon
Drew McIntyre’s beef with CM Punk has lasted a long time. Despite the latter being out of action because of his tricep injury, WWE kept him around to keep fans entertained and also to allow him to build up his storyline with The Scottish Warrior. Seth Rollins was briefly a part of this storyline, but now that he is out of the game for a while, it’s just going to be Punk and McIntyre over at Bash in Berlin. The two are officially confirmed to have a strap match, and it seems like no power in the universe can stop them from settling their differences this time around.

Before the strap match was made official, a former WWE star gave the Punk-McIntyre feud a specific direction on how things could unfold. He also claimed that this is the kind of match that holds the power to end generational feuds. So, it would make sense if this is the last time that we will see CM Punk and Drew McIntyre wrestling in the ring, at least for a long while. The Best in the World also has to move on to better things in his career while WWE’s former champion could get free for a feud that invites Joe Hendry to the main roster of the Stamford-based company.
