Big E will embark on a singles run on the blue brand after the New Day were split in the Draft. The former Intercontinental Champion is fresh of a rivalry with Sheamus. He beat the Celtic Warrior at Payback, and in a brutal Falls Count Anywhere match on Smackdown. Hence, he is already being touted as a potential challenger for the Universal Championship.
Ryan Satin told Big E that fans have wanted to see him face off against Reigns. To this, Big E said, “Yeah. That was a lot of the feedback I got. Especially when he first came back.”
On the same night Roman Reigns won the Universal Championship, Big E won the biggest singles match of his career. The win against Sheamus elevated him from being a tag-team player to a potential main eventer.
Big E praises Roman Reigns’ heel persona
“I think he’s been killing it with his character. This direction. “The Tribal Chief” stuff. Everything that I’ve watched has been on-point.”
Big E only had compliments for Roman Reigns’ work as SmackDown’s top heel. The Tribal Chief gimmick adds a whole new layer to the heel gimmick that fans were clamouring for.
Multiple wrestling pundits and fans have listed Big E vs Roman Reigns as a potential WrestleMania main-event. The former’s popularity with the WWE Universe will be a huge factor in making the match a reality.

Reigns faces Jey Uso at Hell in a Cell. Despite the stipulation and the stakes, the odds are in his favour. Big E has been away from TV since his win against Sheamus. Hence, it is clear WWE don’t have any current plans for him apart from the New Day split.
The draft has brought a lot of interesting potential opponents for Big E. Seth Rollins, Aleister Black and Chad Gable are all good opponents to keep him warm enough till he inevitably faces Roman Reigns.
