Bianca Belair and Montez Ford are one of the many husband-wife duos wrestling in WWE. Although Edge and Beth Phoenix, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, and Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan trounce them in this department, Belair’s rise to the top is an inredible achievement for her husband to celebrate.

Ahead of Money in the Bank, Belair opened up on how she met Montez Ford in WWE and the awkward beginnings of their relationship on Ebro in the Morning on Hot 97.

“My husband was already WWE for a year before me. And like it was like a couple of months, we never said anything to each other, we kind of just like stayed away from each other. But I had like this huge crush on him. I said to my friend, ‘keep that man away from me. That’s a beautiful man. Just keep him away from me.”

“And maybe a couple of months down the line, we all went out to like some random dinner as like co-workers. And we just never left each other’s side. It’s weird; all of a sudden, like we were moving into an apartment together. And we were like, do we even talk about this? So I met him in WWE, and he’s really just been here every step of the way.”

Bianca Belair had a magnificent run as the SmackDown Women’s Champion. Beating Sasha Banks at WrestleMania 37 for the title put her in the upper echelon of WWE superstars. But to be the best, she had to beat the best. In the MVP of 2020, Belair found her ultimate rival.

Belair beat Bayley controversially at WrestleMania Backlash, which led to a rematch at Hell in a Cell. They battled inside the vicious structure in a brutal match, where the EST of WWE once again triumphed. However, Bayley wanted one more shot at the title, and Belair needed to beat her one last time to get rid of her for good.

WWE booked them in an ‘I Quit’ match at Money in the Bank. Unfortunately, an injury struck the match from the card. An ACL injury to the Role Model means she will miss out on nine months of action. This means we’ll have to wait to see the final showdown between Belair and Bayley. However, we’re being treated to a Belair vs Carmella match next week on SmackDown with the title on the line.
