Sometimes pro-wrestlers make such strides in other fields that fans end up comparing them there as well. So, when John Cena bypassed everyone’s expectations with The Peacemaker, the fans compared him to The Rock.

Recently, fans took to social media to express how much they have enjoyed watching John Cena portray The Peacemaker in the newly released series. This is the first time Cena has been working in a series where he is the lead character, and it was important for it to become a Hollywood Hit.

Prior to the release, John Fena heavily promoted the series by appearing on shows, doing interviews, and answering fan questions on social media.

The first time Cena played The Peacemaker was in The Suicide Squad, and the fans reacted extremely positive to it. As a result, HBO Max offered him a spin-off series based on the character, and he immediately said yes!

John Cena could come back to WWE after his Hollywood schedule ends

When The Champ came back to WWE at Money in the Bank 2021, he put his entire Hollywood schedule on hold. He wanted to work all the dates so that no fan was left disappointed during any of the shows.

But, after his departure at SummerSlam 2021, he started shooting for The Peacemaker series and the movies he already signed the contract for.

Of course, Cena has quite a bit of Hollywood work left before he can turn towards WWE again.

He could return again in 2022, but it won’t be anytime soon. It could be WrestleMania 38 or Survivor Series, but not before that.

He still has to work his retirement match since it’s doubtful his SummerSlam 2021 match was his retirement match.

John Cena took on Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2021 with the Universal Championship on the line. Many thought Cena would dethrone Reigns, but that didn’t happen.

It was the last match he had in WWE before bidding a fond farewell to the WWE Universe. As of now, it’s unknown if he plans to come back. And, if he does, when he plans to come back.
