Dwayne Johnson is no stranger to destruction in his movies. The wrestler-turned-actor doesn’t fail to fascinate his audience with elaborate action sequences that see him doing bizarre stunts. Not only that, but Johnson also brings an amount of emotion to his action scenes. This is why he has been a favorite and one of the highest-paid actors in the industry.

But while talking about Johnson’s payments, there’s one movie where the action scenes displayed fictional damages. This would sweep away the salary he got for the movie, which was around $25 million. The movie that we’re talking about is none other than 2015’s San Andreas.

In an interesting article by the editorial section of Rotten Tomatoes, we found out that Johnson’s 2015 movie displayed fictional damages of up to $10 trillion. Across 24 films that Rotten Tomatoes tallied the fictional damages of, this movie stood far above all the others.

Plagued by one earthquake after another, Johnson’s character was stuck between a rock and a hard place, which were both falling down. Some highlights from these damages include the Los Angeles earthquake, which alone adds $1 trillion to the total.

Next, San Francisco is hit with an earthquake and then a tsunami which adds $1.89 trillion to the movie’s damages. But these pale in comparison to his other movie, G.I. Joe Retaliation’s London destruction, which amounted to $2 trillion alone.

Raking in $473 million, on a budget of $110 million, the movie was a tremendous success for Johnson. This also translated well into Johnson getting a sequel to the movie in the pipeline as well.
