Dwayne Johnson recently gifted his mother a Cape Cod-style Elcino House in California. This enormous mansion has six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a spa, a pool, and a huge backyard. This cost Johnson a whopping $3.48 million.

But when he was a teenager, Johnson felt really helpless. He felt like he couldn’t do anything to help his mother when they received an eviction notice. That is when he decided to take up wrestling as a profession. The Hollywood star wanted his mother to have a better life and never have to see such a day again. But initially, he fell in love with American Football. Moreover, Johnson thought that this sport could emerge as the saving grace for his family.

On his recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, Johnson revealed how he thought football could emerge as the “ticket” to a better life. He said, “Like i thought, football was my ticket. That was the thing thats gonna allow me to buy my parents their first house coz I didn’t live in a house till I was like 27. I was WWE Champion, that was the first f*****g house I lived in. So I thought football was the ticket, and then I realized down the road like ‘I have to finish this chapter in my life’ because I don’t have that skill set to go on”.
