Today, very few women in the WWE women’s division look as eye-catching and iconic as Rhea Ripley does. The current WWE World Champion is easily among the most recognizable women on the roster. However, this wasn’t always her default look. Ahead of the 2023 Survivor Series, if we take a look back at what Mami looked like during her first Survivor Series, we will see a massive difference.

Ripley first took part in the 2019 Survivor Series as the captain of team NXT.

Ripley does not look like the same person who joined NXT in 2017 as part of the Mae Young Classic. She was bright-eyed with blond hair and a cheerful personality. She didn’t have her signature black lipstick, tattoos, or goth look.

In 2019, Ripley joined Triple H as he waged war on RAW and SamckDown with NXT. In what is a sort of rehash of the Nexus invasion angle, Ripley was the leader of the NXT women’s team. She went on to beat the RAW captain, Charlotte Flair, and SmackDown captain, Sasha Banks.

During her appearance at the 2019 Survivor Series PLE, she was in her ripped jeans and skull-donned t-shirts. However, what was different was her hair and makeup. She did not dye her hair black and did not have her now signature makeup. While her attire was similar to what she wears now, there were still some big changes to come.

Today, she dons darker makeup with an entirely black ensemble. Her body is covered in tattoos, and she loves showing them off. She even uses fake tattoos on her face. This is a drastic change to what she was back in 2019. Now, with Ripley set to take part in the upcoming PLE, she might as well be a completely different person than she was just four years ago, in look, reputation, and fame.

Ripley will be facing Zoey Stark for her WWE Women’s Championship title. Stark won the women’s Royal Rumble match to become the #1 contender for the title shot at Survivor Series. Despite having her own title and match to contend with, Ripley will also have The Judgment Day to worry about.

The Judgment Day will face Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and Sami Zayn in a WarGames match. This may end the heel faction’s feud with Rhodes and Uso. However, with the recent heel turn of Drew McIntyre, fans are hyped about this match.
