Stone Cold Steve Austin is iconic for a variety of things, including his theme music, the 3:16 quote, the middle finger flick, and many others. Notably, beer cans are among the elements of his persona that people remember the most. Additionally, his love of beer was so intense that he launched his own beer company, Broken Skull IPA.

Fans have often seen him with a beer can in his hand. Although, there was one such rare instance when ‘The Rattlesnake’ didn’t want to have a beer.

Austin revealed to Sports Illustrated the occasion when he didn’t want to consume beer. He stated, “There was a time I was wrestling The Undertaker. I think it was a buried alive match and don’t even ask me how they came up with this match. But I’ve been working around the United States was just a really bad stomach virus for 3 weeks. I’d lost like 15 pounds.”

Moreover, Austin stated, “In the beginning of the match so I’m in intense pain. I don’t feel good at the end of the course my signature thing is because I won the match has to guzzle a couple of beers. And I was like, man, if there’s any time I don’t want to drink beer, which is rare, that was the time.”

This occurred during Austin and The Undertaker‘s last Buried Alive bout at the 1999 Royal Rumble. Austin, meanwhile, was suffering from a stomach virus for three weeks before the fight, so his health wasn’t great. Consequently, he didn’t want to open the can. However, as a wrestler, he was required to be upfront with the audience to entertain them, so he did that.

Stone Cold Steve Austin opened 22 cans of beer at WrestleMania 38

Stone Cold Steve Austin faced off against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 this year, making his first WWE appearance in 19 years. When Austin made his return to the WWE after a 19-year absence, fans were ecstatic to see him doing his trademark maneuvers.

Austin’s WWE entrance saw him pop many beer cans. Notably, he had opened 22 beer cans that night. He had eight while wrestling Kevin Owens and 14 following the battle. The beer cans that ‘The Texas Rattlesnake’ missed were not included (about 4-5). Additionally, the WWE universe found it to be nostalgic, and they expect to see him pop it in the WWE arena once more.
