Dominating the wrestling ring for more than a decade, Ric Flair made a high-flying entry into the world of energy drinks at the age of 74. Now, you better assume that the beverage market is all styling and profiling with Flair branching into it alongside boxing legend Mike Tyson‘s business team.

Flair’s Wooooo energy drink containing mushrooms doesn’t give consumers the jitters and has already made a stir in the existing market. However, it didn’t only serve Nature Boy from a business angle. Rather it brought him his lost life force back, as the legend recently revealed in his token of thanks to Tyson 2.0 president.

Health has been a major risk factor for WWE wrestlers for years. The reckless travel schedule, constant pressure on the muscles, and injuries take a massive toll on a superstar’s health. In some cases, they feel the effects immediately, while other times, the impacts are slowly occurring with age. With two of the most prized veterans of the business, Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, the second theory makes more sense. Much like Hogan, Ric Flair had to deal with many rough patches with his health over the years. Apart from several bruises from surgeries on his body, the most scary threat came when he survived an organ failure-like condition and had to undergo a medically induced coma.

Recalling those dreadful days, Nature Boy Flair admitted his association with his energy drink gave him new life. It completely put a stop to his rash lifestyle. And all the credit goes to one man who is Tyson 2.0’s top-tier figure, Chad Bronstein. He made it possible for Flair to start his new venture.

“Since I met Chad, my life’s a lot clearer, and I have a better picture of where I’m going, I’ve almost been dead a couple of times, so I lived for a long time for the day. Now I want to live longer. But I don’t give a shit if something happens. When you’ve been as sick as I’ve been a couple of times, you either walk around like I did every day worrying about dying, or you say, “screw it.” It took me a long time to get to that point. Since I’ve met Chad, I really say, “screw it,” because my bank account is bigger than ever during wrestling,” Flair noted while speaking with Muscle and Health

However, Flair lost most of the money acquired from WWE due to his own set of mistakes.

Ric Flair’s unwise deeds landed him in deep water financially

Although Flair is doing pretty well both health-wise and money-wise, he wasn’t in a sound financial position in his past years. It’s his inability to separate himself from the lavish on-screen gimmick that cost him half of his wealth during his heyday.

The charismatic Nature Boy lived a larger-than-life dream without bothering about paying taxes to the government. It saw him in an almost drained state to pay back his owed tax to the IRS later on. In 2019, he was officially asked to pay $280,000, and he still carries the burden. After his WWE exit in 2008, bankruptcy loomed in his high-budget life.

All of these events added to the fate of his being left with a mere $500,000 from the status of a multi-millionaire. However, currently, given that his Woooo energy drink benefitted him both physically and financially, it is expected that the legend will continue to live in his ever-shining aura for many more years to come.
