Becky Lynch has been in the WWE hot seat lately for more than one reason. One is pretty obviously the shattering title defeat in the hands of Liv Morgan and the other is the impending date of her contract termination. While the fans vibe in a restless state thinking about her future in the promotion amidst the lure of Tony Khan’s strategic offer, another major update, detrimental to her WWE fate, emerged in the lore.

Dave Meltzer suggested that the 37-year-old might be off TV for a while. But he did not specify any potential timeline for the hiatus except dubbing it as long-term. Now, former WCW president Eric Bischoff picked up on where he finished and added more details on the card, including the probable timeframe.

Liv Morgan caused The Man two upsets back to back by winning and defending the Women’s Word Championship title, respectively, during King and Queen of The Events and the Monday Night Raw the day after. While speculation is rife that the former Inaugural SmackDown Champion might be out to test her luck in the Jacksonville-based promotion following the disgrace, Bischoff noted that might not be the case. Rather, as per what he sees, Lynch will focus on strengthening her family life during a calculative pause from the squared circle.

“I know that they travel. Becky and Seth get to travel with their child. So that makes it easier, but there is still a part of your life and part of your child’s childhood that you kind of don’t want to miss. Being on the road, you’re gonna miss some of that, even if you’re together. So, it wouldn’t surprise me a bit. And I think you’re absolutely 100 percent on the money. I think the relationship is there and Becky’s star status is firmly entrenched,” the veteran explained during the latest episode of his 83 Weeks podcast.

Laying out a potential timeline for her return, Bischoff further asserted, ”She can afford to step away for three, four, or five months or six months or a year because guess what will happen when she’s gone? Anticipation. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.” Nonetheless, the theory of Lynch reverting to the WWE ring whenever she feels right makes more sense than she debuting in any other promotion right now, and here’s why.

Becky Lynch is seemingly not up for any other promotion contract

Becky Lynch has been a needle mover in the company for the last few years, vehemently representing the strength of the female division in the company. Her present tag as the highest-paid female wrestler with an annual salary of more than $3 million did justice to her exceptional in-ring prowess, infectious mic skill, and unmatched star power. So, it’s safe to say that she will be highly unlikely to put her position at risk by exploring any other promotion.

Lynch has other priorities, including being a good wife and mother to his husband and three-year-old toddler. Also, with a Holywood debut rumored to be looming large, Lynch might want a flexible schedule as well as a big stage for the return. And quite obviously, there can’t be a better place for having that than her old wrestling home, WWE. What’s your take on Becky Lynch’s potential hiatus timeline? Let us know in the comments.
