Connor’s Cure is a heartwarming venture that is named after a young fan of WWE. Connor Michalek was a huge fan of Daniel Bryan and his reverence came to light after a social media campaign made it possible to meet his favorite star. The young fan was 8 years old when he met his hero and sadly passed away in 2014.

After his demise, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events, and Creative, and Stephanie McMahon, Chief Brand Officer established the foundation in his honor.

After meeting his favorite star, WWE gave Michalek monikers to make him feel a part of WWE. He earned the moniker of the Stone Crusher or The Crusher. After his demise in 2014, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015 by Bryan himself and was posthumously awarded the inaugural Warrior Award which was accepted by Michalek’s father and brother on his behalf.
